Aissa Deebi is a multidisciplinary artist whose work moves between painting, drawing, printmaking, film, installation, and writing. His practice begins with images that carry traces of memory: landscapes, bodies, fragments, gestures, and places marked by time. Rather than treating the image as fixed, Deebi approaches it as something unstable, layered, and alive.
Through material experimentation and research, he creates works that explore absence, belonging, displacement, and the emotional charge of place. His paintings and projects often feel like visual excavations, where history appears through texture, repetition, erasure, and silence.
Deebi’s work has been presented internationally, including at Qatar Museums, Art Dubai, the Venice Biennale, Manifesta, Queens Museum.
